The 14th Parliament of Pakistan is the legislature of Pakistan following the 2013 general election of members of parliament (MPs) to the National Assembly of Pakistan, the lower house of the bicameral Majlis-e-Shura. The National Assembly is a democratically elected body consisting of a total of 342 members who are referred to as Members of the National Assembly (MNAs), of which 272 are directly elected members and 70 reserved seats for women and religious minorities. The Pakistan Muslim League (N) won a plurality of seats in the National Assembly through a simple majority, after failing to secure an overall two-thirds majority. In order to form a government, the PML-N joined in coalition with the Pakistan Muslim League (F) and the National Peoples Party. Pakistan Muslim League (N) chief Nawaz Sharif became the Prime Minister of Pakistan for the third time. Members of 14th National Assembly took oath on June 1, 2013 and marked the historic constitutional transition of power from one democratically-elected government to next for the first time in the history of Pakistan. On 7 June 2013, Sharif's cabinet of 25 ministers was sworn into office which included 16 federal ministers and nine ministers of state.〔 ==Khyber Pakhtunkhwa==
